Dmitry Bivol has been pretty inactive, he last fought against Gilberto Ramirez in November 2022 and secured a comfortable unanimous decision win. Bivol is yet to make a return, the negotiations with Canelo did not conclude fruitfully which may have been disappointing for a few fans.
Canelo rejected the rematch with Bivol because he was asked to move down in weight. However, it is worth knowing that Dmitry Bivol recently confessed that he would be ready to fight Jermell Charlo if he successfully beats Canelo for their scheduled match on 30th September.

In a recent interview with Fight Hub TV, Dmitry Bivol revealed that he is ready to fight Jermell Charlo if he beats Canelo.
“Yeah, if [Jermell] Charlo wins [against Canelo Alvarez], I would like to fight him,” Bivol said, as quoted by boxingnews24.com. “It’s not like, ‘Oh, I want to fight against someone at 168.’ No, I prefer to fight in my weight class [light heavyweight]”.
“If someone wants and we have a good offer to move down for [super middleweight] belt, I will do it, but I prefer to fight in my weight class. Bivol further said: “I see that he [Canelo] will move forward and try to finish him with one or two punches.
Charlo will try to keep him on the distance and try to move”. Dmitry Bivol vs Jermell Charlo would be a fascinating match to watch, in about one months time we will find out if Jermell Charlo can become the 3rd fighter to beat Canelo.
