Clarissa Shields is perhaps the second female fighter who has expressed her willingness to fight the problem child, Jake Paul; the first one was Amanda Nunes. Shields recently fought against Maricela Corneja and secured a dominating unanimous decision win which updated her professional boxing record to 14-0.

Shields watched Jake Paul’s recent fight against Nate Diaz and seemed to be thoroughly unimpressed. Interestingly, she believes if she and Jake Paul ever squared off in the ring, she would be the one to emerge victoriously.

Clarissa Shields is open to fighting Jake Paul, and it will be fascinating to see if that match ever ends up happening. Many fans criticized Paul for not fulfilling his promise of finishing Nate Diaz within 5 rounds, and in spite of dominating the early rounds, Paul failed to crystallize his performance.

Clarissa Shields on fighting Jake Paul

In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, the undefeated female boxer Clarissa Shields shared her thoughts on Jake Paul’s recent performance against Nate Diaz and revealed that she is open to fighting Jake Paul.

“I would really fight Jake Paul in a fight, honestly,” Shields said, as quoted by mmamania.com. “I would win and he knows that. He knows that. Jake Paul listen, Nate Diaz is not a real boxer. He’s an MMA fighter, he’s not a boxer.

So him getting in there and not being able to use his chokes, his feet, his slams, his jiu-jitsu, gave Jake Paul a huge advantage. Shields further said: “I mean, he just knocked Nate Diaz down he didn’t beat the mess out of Nate Diaz,” she continued.

“Honestly, like, he had a real fight against Tommy Fury [and lost]. Jake Paul, he lands punches on guys with really bad defense and he wouldn’t be able to do that with me. I’m sorry, I have too much experience for him”.
