One right-hand shot is all it took Anthony Joshua to put Robert Helenius to sleep; in the 7th round, Joshua explosively landed a shot that knocked out Helenius. AJ has extended his winning streak and seems to have captured the winning momentum that was long-awaited.
Joshua was supposed to fight Dillian Whyte for the rematch, but Whyte was removed from the fight because of failing a drug test. Helenius should get respect for accepting the fight under such short notice; he fought last week and scored a fantastic TKO win against Mika Mielonen – this fight clearly didn’t go his way, but to fight again in just 7 days is worth a ton of appreciation.
Joshua and Eddie Hearn are pretty ambitious about the future; they have a list of big names to select from, and it will be very interesting to see the steps Joshua takes from here.

Anthony Joshua’s post fight interview
AJ seems to have nothing but respect for his opponent and seems to be ready to make it back to the top.
“He’s got talent,” Joshua said, as quoted by boxingjunkie.usatoday.com. “So I had to figure him out. He was a late replacement. And I think he can cause a lot of people some problems, in my opinion. Credit to him for coming out tonight and saving the show.
I need to stay busy. I need to keep on building, keep on building. Joshua on whats next: I’ve been off for too long. My back, my back. Is there a doctor in here? My back is going,” he said, his voice rising, “… [is going] to carry this heavyweight division to the top”.
Eddie Hearn on what’s next for AJ
Eddie Hearn reveals the big names that Anthony Joshua is expected to fight next. Here’s exactly what he said: “That’s the fight we want,” Hearn said, as quoted by boxingjunkie.usatoday.com. “We have a three-fight plan, whether you like it or not.
It was Robert Helenius, supposed to be Dillian Whyte; Deontay Wilder, and then Tyson Fury. That’s the ambition of the team”. You can watch the full match highlights below:
