Oleksandr Usyk believes Daniel Dubois is too emotional and lacks confidence

The heavyweight fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois is almost a month away; fans were initially looking forward to a match between Usyk and Fury, but since those plans couldn’t come to fruition, both heavyweights decided to move on and fight different opponents.

Usyk vs Dubois is scheduled to take place on August 26th at the Wroclaw Arena in Poland. Usyk and Dubois recently had a face off, and based on that interaction, Usyk made some observations and concluded that Daniel Dubois is diffident.

This is Dubois’s toughest test yet, and he is one step away from fulfilling his dreams and snatching everything away from Usyk.

Oleksandr Usyk on Daniel Dubois

In a recent interview with Secondsout, Oleksandr Usyk shared his thoughts on Daniel Dubois and fighting in a non-native place.

“The only thing he could see in my eyes was light,” Usyk said, as quoted by boxingnews24.com. “Do I look like a man afraid of Daniel [Dubois]? He has no confidence. He’s just talking about confidence.

He’s a little bit too young and too emotional,” Usyk further said: “There’s no difference from where I’m fighting. When I’m at home, I’m fighting at home. When I’m fighting out of my home, and I’m coming as a guest that comes, that place becomes my home”.

Dubois is the heavy underdog for this event; however, the sport of boxing is unpredictable, and anything can happen. After facing his first ever career loss against Joy Joyce, Daniel Dubois (19-1) is currently on a 4 match winning streak, and it is worth knowing that all those wins came via knockout.

In almost one month's time we will find out if Daniel Dubois has what it takes to shock the boxing world and give Oleksandr Usyk the bitter taste of defeat.
