Jake Paul seems to be thirsty for a decisive victory against the former UFC fighter Nate Diaz; they will be clashing against each other on the 5th of August at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Paul is coming out of a tough defeat against Tommy Fury and seems to have locked himself in vengeance mode.
Nate Diaz is a heavy underdog for this upcoming match – fans and boxing experts questioned his striking abilities as a boxer after seeing his recent clips. Boxing critics continue to question Jake Paul’s opponent selection, he keeps upsetting boxing enthusiasts by fighting against MMA fighters – but people must know that apart from being a boxer, he is also an entertainer and securing massive paydays is of paramount importance to him; by fighting against a regular boxer, he may not fulfil his PPV numbers-related goals.
Jake Paul on fighting Nate Diaz
Recently in an interview with TMZ Sports, Jake Paul explained that he’s hungry for a win and revealed that he looks forward to knocking him out. “I have the biggest chip on my shoulder, the biggest chip on both shoulders, coming back with a vengeance, refilled with that hunger that I had in the beginning of the sport to prove to people what I was capable of,” Paul said, as quoted by mmafighting.com.
“The lion lost, I retreated back into the jungle, I took notes of everything, I got better, I trained, and now this lion is going to come out and maul this dude. Paul further said: “He’s going to have to pay for all this hard work, all the sacrifice I’ve made during this camp.
I promise, I’m going to be the first person to stop him on Aug. 5. 100 percent, he’s going to sleep”. It would be fair to say that the majority of the people are vouching for Paul to win, it will be very interesting to see if Nate Diaz can do something spectacular and shock the boxing and MMA world.
