Frank Warren: Anthony Joshua should fight Filip Hrgovic

Frank Warren, co-promoter for Tyson Fury cannot understand certain moves of Anthony Joshua. Warren is surprised that Joshua refuses to start negotiations with Tyson Fury. However, Anthony obviously has other plans and wants to do two fights and thus end the year 2023.

Dillian Whyte and Deontay Wilder appear as two options. Eddie Hearn, Anthony Joshua's promoter, is ready to offer Filip Hrgovic to Fury. “Say you’re playing matchmaker for Tyson Fury, and you look at the rankings.

Imagine AJ fights Dillian Whyte then Wilder and Usyk fights Dubois. I’ll tell you if he wants, he can fight Filip Hrgovic," -Hearn told Boxing Social.

Frank Warren: Why doesn’t Joshua fight the other guy that’s in their camp

Warren believes that Joshua is turning down the fight with Fury without any real reason.

Whether or not these two boxers will fight in August is still a question that needs to be answered. There is no way to predict what will happen in the future, but based on everything we have seen so far, Joshua may not have a fight.

In Warren's opinion, one of the other options that Joshua could have is to fight Hrgovic. “Who is Joshua going to fight in August? They’re slagging off Tyson who is offering him the fight on a 60/40 chance of fighting for the world title,” -Warren said to Talk Sport.

"You’re going to get 40 percent of the purse which you wouldn’t get if it went to purse bids. Don’t keep blaming Tyson! I’m not here banging the drum for Tyson. They are the facts and what the narrative should be now to AJ is, ‘Why aren’t you taking the fight?’ ‘Who are you going to fight?’ ‘If he’s not going to fight Tyson, why doesn’t he fight the other guy that’s in their camp, Hrgovic?’"
